FAQs
What is included in the kit?
The kit contains five instruments, supplied in an autoclavable instrument cassette:
- Applica: carries composite to the tooth and shapes each layer, including the side (proximal) walls of a filling against a matrix
- Condensa
- Fissura: shapes fissures and mamelons, and carves the grooves and cusps of back-tooth biting surfaces
- Misura: helps judge the thickness of composite layers when building up a front-tooth restoration
- Eccesso: removes surplus composite and leftover bonding material at the neck of front teeth and between teeth
Why choose a silicone handle?
A moulded silicone handle is wider and lighter than a solid steel one, giving a comfortable, controlled hold through a full day of appointments, and the textured surface helps keep a secure grip.
What are the instruments made from?
The working ends are hardened Japanese-standard J2 stainless steel, set into a moulded silicone handle. Both are fully autoclavable.
Handle colour: the instruments come in mixed handle colours, as shown.
Also available: several of these instruments on their own (follow the links above), and our larger ten-piece silicone handle composite kit, which includes all five of these instruments. See also our six-piece Blue TitaN composite kit.
