What makes the UNC-15 different from a banded probe?
It is marked at every millimetre rather than in 3mm bands, so pocket depth is recorded in finer detail. That matters for full charting and for tracking change between appointments.
Why choose a silicone handle?
A moulded silicone handle is wider and lighter than a solid steel one, so it takes less pinch force to control the instrument. Across a full day of appointments that means noticeably less hand fatigue, and the textured surface keeps its grip when wet or gloved.
