How is this different from your other 10-instrument cassette?
Both hold ten instruments. Our Sterilizing Cassette, 10 Instruments measures approx. 20 x 18.5 x 2.5 cm (L x W x D), so it has a larger footprint. This compact version measures approx. 18.5 x 14.5 x 3.5 cm (L x W x D): it takes up less space and is deeper. Check the space in your trays, drawers and autoclave chamber to choose the one that suits your set-up.
Why use a cassette instead of pouches?
A cassette keeps a set together from chairside through washing, sterilisation and storage. That means less handling of contaminated sharps and a quicker tray set-up, because the whole set is laid out in one go.
Can it go in the autoclave?
Yes. It is a sterilizing cassette made from AISI 304 stainless steel for steam sterilisation. Follow your autoclave's loading guidance and do not overfill it.
