Why use a cassette instead of pouches?
A cassette keeps a set together from chairside through washing, autoclaving and storage. That means less handling of contaminated sharps, faster tray set-up, and instruments that are less likely to be damaged knocking against each other.
Will steam reach the instruments inside?
Yes. The cassette is perforated so steam circulates around every instrument during the autoclave cycle, provided you follow your steriliser's loading guidance and do not overfill.
