What are CP-12 markings used for?
They let you read periodontal pocket depth directly. The probe is walked around each tooth and the depth is read where the gingival margin crosses the banding.
Why choose a silicone handle?
A moulded silicone handle is wider and lighter than a solid steel one, so it takes less pinch force to control the instrument. Across a full day of appointments that means noticeably less hand fatigue, and the textured surface keeps its grip when wet or gloved.
What material is this instrument made from?
The working end is hardened Japanese-standard J2 stainless steel, which holds its edge through repeated autoclave cycles, set into a moulded silicone handle. Both are fully autoclavable.
