FAQs
What is a CPITN probe used for?
Periodontal screening and BPE scoring. It lets you score a sextant quickly without measuring every site precisely, which is what makes it a screening rather than a charting instrument.
Why choose a silicone handle?
A moulded silicone handle is wider and lighter than a solid steel one, giving a comfortable, controlled hold through a full day of appointments, and the textured surface helps keep a secure grip.
What material is this instrument made from?
The working ends are AISI 304 stainless steel, set into a moulded silicone handle. Both are fully autoclavable.
