DETAILS AND CARE

Plane mouth mirror heads, No.4 (22mm), supplied in a box of twelve. A plane mirror gives a true, distortion-free reflection, which is what you want for examination and for checking a preparation, and buying by the box keeps a fresh mirror available on every tray.

  • Plane No.4 head, 22mm diameter
  • True, distortion-free reflection for examination
  • Box of 12 keeps every set-up supplied
  • Fits standard threaded mirror handles, autoclavable

FAQs

What is the difference between a plane and a front-surface mirror?

A plane mirror reflects from the back of the glass and gives a true image with a very slight secondary reflection. A front-surface mirror reflects off the front face, removing that ghosting entirely, and costs more.

Do these fit my existing handles?

They use the standard threaded fitting, so they screw onto conventional mouth mirror handles including our hollow 12cm handle.

When should a mirror be replaced?

Once the surface is scratched, clouded or pitted. A degraded mirror makes indirect vision harder and is the reason most practices buy heads by the box rather than singly.

What material is this instrument made from?

A glass plane mirror set into a stainless steel rim with a standard threaded stem, and it withstands repeated autoclave sterilisation.

Stocked alongside our hollow mirror handles and complete mirror head and handle sets.

Manufactured by InstruDental, UK specialists in dental hand instruments.
