- For picking up composite, including straight from the syringe, and placing it on the tooth
- Flat paddles for spreading and smoothing the final enamel layer across the outer (labial) surface of front teeth
- Ergonomic silicone grip, lightweight and comfortable
- AISI 304 stainless steel working ends, fully autoclavable
FAQs
What is the Modella used for?
It is a hand instrument for layered composite work on front teeth. The flat paddles carry composite to the tooth, and can take it directly from the syringe. They are also used for the final enamel layer of the build-up, when the enamel composite is laid over the outer (labial) surface of the tooth and smoothed out across that broad area.
Why choose a silicone handle?
A moulded silicone handle is wider and lighter than a solid steel one, giving a comfortable, controlled hold through a full day of appointments, and the textured surface helps keep a secure grip.
What material is this instrument made from?
The working ends are AISI 304 stainless steel, set into a moulded silicone handle. Both are fully autoclavable.
Handle colour: choose Blue or Pink. Both are the same instrument; only the handle colour differs.
The Modella is also included in our Composite Filling Instruments Kit (10 Pieces) Silicone Handle.
