The flat blades pick up composite, carry it to the tooth and work it into shape. Because the blades are thin, they can be used in tight areas, such as the space between neighbouring teeth, and to shape composite up against a matrix when the side (proximal) wall of a filling is being rebuilt. It can also be used to gently smooth a layer of composite.

Is this the Applica Twist?

No. The Applica Twist is a separate instrument in the same range.

Why choose a silicone handle?

A moulded silicone handle is wider and lighter than a solid steel one, giving a comfortable, controlled hold through a full day of appointments, and the textured surface helps keep a secure grip.

What material is this instrument made from?

The working ends are AISI 304 stainless steel, set into a moulded silicone handle.
